- Abstract : Compartmentalized liquid crystalline nanostructures embedding a class B GPCR ligand pituitary adenylate cyclase‐activating polypeptide (PACAP), which is modified by an ω‐3 polyunsaturated fatty acid DHA, are obtained in a two‐fold approach by co‐assembly of the lipidated peptide hormone with multiple neuroprotective compounds. The performed synchrotron small‐angle X‐ray scattering (BioSAXS) and cryo‐TEM studies evidenced the formation of (i) intriguing compartmentalized vesicles enclosing nanopatterns of pep‐lipid micelles and (ii) pep‐lipid cubosomes of core‐shell organizations.
