Abstract : Hydroxyl group modified polymeric carbon nitride achieves efficient photoreduction of O2 to H2 O2 and highly selective photooxidization of C2 H5 OH simultaneously. Abstract : A photocatalytic system of carbon nitride grafted with hydroxyl groups working in ethanol aqueous solution under visible light irradiation was constructed to simultaneously achieve photocatalytic H2 O2 production with an apparent quantum efficiency of 52.8% at around 420 nm and ethanol conversion to high-value acetaldehyde with a high selectivity of 99.95%.
