Abstract

Abstract : Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to provide a commentary on the article regarding online risk for people with intellectual disabilities (ID). Design/methodology/approach: This commentary is a reflection based on clinical practice and a recent pilot research study. Findings: How we provide information is important both online and in training to keep people safe. Practical implications: Information provision needs to consider content and medium alongside the needs of the recipient. Originality/value: This paper reinforces the importance of how information is provided for people with ID.
