Abstract

Abstract: The spectrum of cardiac injury due to blunt chest trauma may range from cardiac contusions with a clinically silent course to fatal cardiac wall rupture. Pulmonary valve insufficiency due to non-penetrating chest trauma is a rare entity. In this case, pulmonary valve insufficiency as a result of valve tear due to high-velocity blunt chest trauma required surgical replacement.
