Abstract

Abstract : Difluorodiazoethane (CF2 HCHN2 ) is a small reactive diazoalkane that has seen significant advances in the past three years: it is now used in [3+2]‐cycloadditions, esterification, and carbene transfer reactions. In their Minireview onpage 6053 ff., P. Mykhailiuk and R. Koenigs discuss its difference with the well‐studied trifluorodiazoethane (CF3 CHN2 ) and its applications in organic synthesis, its bench‐stable analogues, and its unexplored areas.
