Abstract

Abstract : First synthesized more than half a century ago the centrally depicted dihaloimidazolidinedione was recently discovered to function as a versatile halodehydration agent and enabled the transformation of various alcohols into their halogenated products (i.e., alkyl chlorides, bromides, or iodides), as depicted in the ribbon‐like pathways.
