Abstract

Abstract : The inside cover picture shows the current trend in the domain of energetic materials, which consists in using nano‐bricks of explosives, propellants, fuels and oxidizers for designing nanothermites and hybrid energetic composites (NSTEX: Nanostructured Thermites and Explosives). These materials are smart in nature, owing to their high versatility, safety of use and green composition. They are an excellent alternative to classical energetic materials. The current challenge for the research in this domain is the integration of these new materials in systems. Details are discussed in the article by Marc Comet et al. on page 18 ff.
