Abstract

Abstract : Grouped around the logo of the "SFB/TR 49" is a collection of 7 images, demonstrating the broad variety of topics addressed by this transregional collaborative research centre. Starting in the upper left corner and going clockwise these images show: 1) susceptibility data of a dimerized spin system based on an organic biradical; 2) hard X‐ray momentum microscopy data of a graphite single crystal; 3) an STM image of the a‐c surface terminated by the acceptor layer of κ‐(BEDT‐TTF)2 Cu[N(CN)2 ] Br; 4) Wannier d z 2 orbitals determined with FPLO in a vanadium tetrahedron of Lu2 V2 O7 ; 5) an optical dipole trap setup for studying neutral impurities in an ultracold gas; 6) a combined atom‐ and ion‐trap as part of the experimental setup for the investigation of Yb + ‐Rb hybrid quantum systems; 7) the radial electron density of a butterfly Rydberg molecule.
