Abstract

Abstract : A one-pot tandem strategy for the synthesis of asymmetric star polymers was developed. Two wavelengths of light were used to provide spatial and temporal control for the reactions. A series of stars were synthesised using this procedure giving well-defined structures. Abstract : A rapid photo-controlled one-pot strategy for the synthesis of asymmetric star polymers was developed using two different wavelengths of light to allow spatial and temporal control of the synthesis of the star polymers with controlled structures and narrow polydispersities. Several asymmetric star structures were successfully synthesised and the simultaneous photo-induced ATRP and RAFT polymerisation was demonstrated using this procedure.
