Abstract

Abstract: Failure analysis construction of car tyres is a highly demanding process requiring very specific methods of analysis. Industrial metrotomography is one of suitable analytical tool in this area. However, the method used for failure analysis construction of car tyres may have its limits. The paper provides a detailed research for the analysis of 5 typical types of damage occurring in car tyres, analysing the possibilities of such a technology as well as occurrence of undesirable phenomena. Results provided further on refer to occurrence of undesirable phenomenon such as various artifacts due to their construction, but also confirm suitability of application of the method for car tyres research of failure analysis.
