Abstract

Highlights: Posterior fossa decompression with duraplasty can alleviate symptoms of Chiari I Malformations. A watertight dural closure is critical to prevent post-operative complications. Fibrin glue dural sealant reduced the risk of postoperative complications by more than two-thirds in our series. The use of PEG hydrogel sealant did not show a significant complication rate reduction.
