- Abstract : Regenerative medicine (RM) and transplantation both have an objective to replace end-stage tissues or organs. RM uses external sources or replacement from both allogeneic (as transplantation does) and autologous sources and it also promotes repair from endogenous sources. Some of the major issues of RM are to define the best decellularization techniques, new bio-scaffolds and the maturation stages of stem cells and derivatives to be used.
