- Abstract : The different roles of introduced sulfide ions (S 2− ) on the surface of CdSe quantum dots are revealed by Li‐Zhu Wu and co‐workers in article number1804872 . At an earlier stage, S 2− grows into the lattice and accelerates electron transfer, while afterward, the S 2− works as ligands and promotes hole transfer, thus greatly improving the efficiency of quantum dots for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution.
