- Abstract: The Front Cover illustrates the concept of an all‐organic sodium‐ion battery, with n‐type organics as both the cathode and anode. The two‐electron redox reaction of anthraquinone in a sodium electrolyte system is depicted in the background. This reaction is exploited to fabricate an anthraquinone/carbon fiber composite cathode material for rechargeable sodium‐ion batteries. Read the full text of the article at10.1002/batt.201800057 . Abstract : " The electrode composite material anthraquinone on nanostructured carbon fibers is investigated as a positive electrode material for sodium‐ion batteries. The composite is characterized by a large surface area, porous network, large pore volume and good electrical conductivity. The remarkably high discharge capacity of about 307 mAh g −1 is measured for the initial discharge cycle in a sodium containing electrolyte. Stable and reversible gravimetric capacities of 130 mAh g −1 were achieved after 115 charge/discharge cycles ."
