Abstract

Blow-Up entails rhetorical doublings of action and medium that attend to the material processes of cinema: sampled images, re/photography, editing, the re/animation of 'life' on-screen by using found footage separated from its original function in a meditative demonstration of the realist assumption that lies at the foundation of motion pictures.
