- Abstract: A new myanmarinid wasp, Myanmarina jeannineae sp. nov., is described and figured from the mid-Cretaceous Myanmar (Burmese) amber. The new species is established based on one female and two male specimens, and the following characters: antenna with 14 antennomeres in female and 12 antennomeres in males, hind femur strongly swollen in the apex, and metasoma gradually widened from the base to terminal in female. Based on the similarity of ovipositors and the phylogenetic positions of the three families of Ephialtitidae, Stephanidae and Myanmarinidae in Hymenoptera, we propose that myanmarinids are likely to be a parasitoid of wood-boring insect larvae.
