Graphical abstract: Highlights: Three new ergosterols and four known ones were isolated from Ganoderma sinense . The structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic methods. Four ergosterols showed inhibitory activity against NO production. Abstract: Three new ergosterols, ganocalidophins A–C (1 ‒3 ), along with four known ones, were isolated from the fruiting bodies of Ganoderma sinense . Their structures were established on the basis of extensive NMR and MS technologies, as well as the single crystal X-ray diffraction. Compounds1 ‒3 and6 exhibited inhibitory activities against NO production with IC50 of 17.7–32.4 μM.
