- Abstract : Two‐dimensional metal–organic framework (MOF) nanosheet materials possess the advantages of both 2D layered nanomaterials and MOFs, and are considered to be promising nanomaterials. Here, a facile and scalable in situ hydrothermal synthesis of Co–hypoxanthine MOF nanosheets is reported. The nanosheets were directly carbonized to generate uniform Co‐embedded nitrogen‐doped carbon (Co@N‐carbon) nanosheets for efficient bifunctional electrocatalytic oxygen‐ and hydrogen‐evolution reactions.
