Graphical abstract: Highlights: The novel food additive 2′-Fucosyllactose is non-genotoxic. 2′-Fucosyllactose was non-toxic in juvenile rats exposed from an age of 25 days; this supports its use as a food additive. The NOAEL is ≥ 7.25 g/kg body weight/day.
