Abstract

Highlights: An improved 3D in vitro rat follicle culture model was established to observe the function of follicles and oocytes. The addition of sodium alginate confirmed the functional integrity of the culture model. BPA was used to validate the applicability of the model as an in vitro female reproductive toxicity testing system. The results of BPA demonstrated that the model can successfully identified female reproductive toxicants partly.
