- Abstract: Using the cocurricular career connections (C3) leadership model, this chapter will focus on the potential for off‐campus jobs to help a largely underserved group to develop leadership skills. In so doing, leadership educators and student employers can help students be more effective in their work, develop skills that can promote employability after college, and impact the perception of employers about how effectively colleges and universities are preparing students for the world of work.
