Abstract

Abstract : Understanding mechanisms and rational design of sodium‐oxygen batteries are critical to their real application. In article number1800247, Khalil Amine, Jun Lu, and co‐workers review the current understanding of sodium superoxide based sodium‐oxygen batteries and discuss the stability of sodium superoxide. The cover depicts an example of the instability of sodium superoxide in the air electrode, which requires further exploration of the product protection in the cell environment.
