Abstract

Abstract : Application of DIN 2304 in glass construction . Since 2016, the DIN 2304 has been specifying the ISO 9001 in terms of the "special process" of adhesive bonding. This user standard applies to all sectors in industry and trade and in general to all bonded joints whose main function is the transmission of mechanical loads. The standard classifies the requirements for safety, qualification of the executing and supervising employees as well as the verification procedure as central points of a quality‐appropriate and robust bonding process. However, the DIN 2304 does not apply to bonded joints which are already regulated by recognized and proven regulations, existing approvals or other standards.
