- Abstract : Key factors representative of the in operando magnetocaloric-effect-based cooling system have been systemically investigated on the La(Fe, Mn, Si)13 H x alloys. Abstract : The degradation mechanism of La(Fe, Mn, Si)13 H x has been examined under conditions representative of the complex operating parameters of a refrigeration cycle. The magnetic field effects are found to be dominated by magneto-transport and are most significant when the material is in its paramagnetic state – resulting in significantly accelerated corrosion rates.
