Abstract

Abstract: A supramolecular complex, [Au(C^N^C)(C≡CC6 H4 C≡C)Pt(terpy)] +, has been synthesized as a photocatalyst for water reduction. This compound consists of a cyclometalated alkyne‐gold(III) photosensitizer and a platinum(II) terpyridine complex bridged through a central phenylethynyl group. Abstract : Au Ptit Bistrot : A heterobimetallic Au III ‐Pt II complex has been synthesized and evaluated as photocatalyst for water reduction.
