- Abstract : The authors present a novel application of a 50‐plus‐year‐old technology that could reduce the cost of treating flue‐gas‐desulfurization (FGD) wastewater by 30–50 percent. This savings is achieved by targeting the key ions of concern—chlorides—and then recycling the water without overtreating the balance of other compounds.
