- Abstract : A hemicyanine-based fluorescent dye, Mito-BT, was developed to ratiometrically detect H2 S. This dye was of high selectivity, photostability and sensitivity with a rapid response time of 10 seconds. In addition, Mito-BT was localized in mitochondria, making it a promising probe for detecting H2 S in cells. Abstract : A probeMito-BT was constructed and synthesized by combining triphenylamine and hemicyanine, and can be used for specific ratiometric sensing of H2 S. It has a rapid response time of 10 s and preferentially targets to mitochondria. Then the visualization of the change of the mitochondrial H2 S concentration upon NaHS incubation by usingMito-BT staining is promising for the practical exploration of H2 S-related processes in mitochondria.
