Abstract : Specializing in crowdfunding litigation via a web‐based platform, LexShares is part of a new generation of businesses designed to take advantage of the opportunities for disintermediation offered by the digitization of the economy. By connecting investors directly to plaintiffs and lawyers, LexShares has created an alternative financial investment product that is not dependent on the performance of traditional financial markets.
