- Highlights: Speckle noise reduction algorithm for parallel phase-shift digital holography (PPSDH) is proposed. It enables reducing speckle noise in on-line. Principle of speckle noise reduction is demonstrated. It is based on characteristic of PPSDH and novel interpolation is adapted. Experimental results show that speckle noise is suppressed. Abstract: Digital holography is the best tool for measuring object information data. Parallel phase-shift digital holography (PPSDH) is particularly suitable for measuring moving objects. This method generates images of objects, but the image quality is diminished because they contain abundant speckle noise. In this paper, we propose an interpolation-based algorithm to reduce the levels of speckle noise in images generated by PPSDH, thus enhancing their quality.
