Abstract : Porous silicon has become an emerging material for the development of next‐generation therapeutic, imaging and biosensing devices given their unique physicochemical properties. Voelcker and co‐workers, highlight the most recent advances in porous silicon‐based nanoarchitectures with a special emphasis on their biomedical applications and their translation into the clinic.
