- Abstract : Calcium‐based metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) are low cost and have bio‐compatible metal centers, but the Ca local environment is often poorly understood. Although very challenging due to 0.135 % natural abundance, 43 Ca solid‐state NMR at a high magnetic field of 21.1 T can probe the local structure of the Ca center in MOFs, investigate the presence of guests, and monitor phase changes. The cover features three phases of Ca‐BDC and their unique 43 Ca NMR spectra: as‐made (red), empty activated (blue), and hydrated (orange). More information can be found in the Communication by Y.
