- Abstract: Here, we report the synthesis and characterization of palladium nanoparticles immobilized on (Pd@DASs ) triazine containing covalent organic polymer prepared through solvothermal method to the formation of Schiff base polymer condensation reaction between 1, 4‐diaminobenzene and 4, 4′, 4′′‐(1, 3, 5‐triazine‐2, 4, 6‐triyl)tribenzaldehyde, respectively. The synthesizedPd@DASs was thoroughly characterized by various techniques including FT‐IR, UV‐DRS, EDAX, powder XRD, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Furthermore, the preparedPd@DASs potential catalytic performance was evaluated for Sonogashira cross‐coupling of various aryl halides with phenylacetylene, K2 CO3 as a base in water/DMF (2:1) solvent for about 3 h and the same catalyst was used for reduction of nitroarenes using hydrazine hydrate (Hydrogen source) in methanol/water (1:2) mixture of solvent for about 1.30 h under mild reaction conditions. Neither copper and nor ligand and additives are required in the reaction medium, which exhibits high catalytic activity and excellent to good yield (upto 96% and 99%), the catalyst can be separated easily and recycle for several times. Abstract : Palladium nanoparticles immobilized on (Pd@DASs) triazine containing covalent organic frames prepared and evaluated the catalytic condition for Sonogashira cross‐coupling and reduction of nitroarenes under mild reaction condition with very good yield upto 96% and 99% respectively.
