- Abstract : Highly efficient frequency conversion in GaSe nanoribbons is demonstrated in article number1701012 by Fuxing Gu and co‐workers. Benefitting from the strong confinement of sub‐wavelength optical guiding and high second‐order nonlinearity of the GaSe material, significantly enhanced nonlinear light–matter interaction is observed in GaSe nanoribbons. Based on transverse second‐harmonic generation, a single GaSe nanoribbon‐configured optical auto‐correlator for ultrashort pulse characterization is demonstrated, with high sensitivity down to few femto‐joule.
