Abstract

Abstract : Due to the increasing demand of security and energy density, all‐solid‐state batteries have become the promising next‐generation energy storage devices to replace the traditional batteries with flammable organic electrolytes. Much attention has been focused on sulfide inorganic electrolytes as solid electrolytes for all‐solid‐state batteries due to their high ionic conductivities and wide electrochemical window. All‐solid‐state batteries employing sulfide electrolytes provide advanced safety, high energy density, and long cycle stability. The future developments of overcoming the challenges are expected to lead to practical large‐scale applications of all‐solid‐state batteries. For more information, see the Minireview by J.
