- Abstract: For the machining of the materials, the temperature aspect plays an important role in the forces evolved during the process. This includes the temperature evolved in the primary shear zone as well as the tool-chip interface. To reduce the forces thus one of the priorities in machining process to get a better surface finish and longer tool life. High speed machining process is being widely used in the automobile and aeronautical industries these days where superfine surface finish is the basic requirement. For such a process, a force modelling is done that considers the friction law which is the function of the tool-chip interface temperature which is in turn used to calculate different parameters and ultimately the forces evolved in machining process. These can be further extended to the Ball End Mill where the flute can be divided into infinitesimal elements such that each element can be considered as an oblique cutting edge
