Abstract

Ontology development and reuse constitute an important research area in Semantic Web. Ontology has been established for knowledge sharing and has been used to describe the semantics of web resources. The user of Semantic Web benefits from it to share and to exchange knowledge. Currently, one of the challenges of the Semantic Web approach is to improve the performance of its knowledge management in order to provide adequate and personalised information for users. The purpose here is to establish an ontology which supports views as an alternative version of a base ontology. Such ontology is the key to achieve the objective of allowing each user to build his own view according to his perception of the world/his needs and independently of other users. Unfortunately, the existing ontologies can hardly achieve this goal because they focus primarily on domain concepts. In this paper, an alternative approach through the integration of views in the tourism ontologies with refactoring process is proposed. This approach is based on ontology design pattern and relational concepts analysis.
