- This paper proposes a novel protocol for e-business transaction management, called the low latency resilient (LLR) protocol. LLR applies new correctness criteria based upon enforcing semantic atomicity with increased resilience to failure, and has been implemented as a prototype system for e-business transaction processing. The analysis given shows that LLR avoids resource blocking of e-business systems and significantly reduces response time between such systems. In addition, LLR significantly improves the resiliency of e-business transactions in the event of failures or the unavailability of requested services. This is achieved through the use of e-business transaction within which alternative sub-transactions are specified.
