Abstract

This paper provides an insight into the management of computer crime in the context of China. Given that China, like other countries, face the increasing problem of computer crime, it is prudent that the Chinese government understand that managing computer crime cannot be dealt with technical controls alone, such as firewalls. In presenting this argument, this paper reflects how China should learn lessons from other countries and focus on addressing both the technical and social issues when managing such illicit acts.
