- Abstract : A novel pillar[5]arene-calix[4]pyrrole was synthesized as a chiral receptor for mandelate anions with a maximum enantioselectivity of 2.47. Abstract : A novel pillar[5]arene-calix[4]pyrrole macrocyclic compound (PC ) featuring anion recognition and host–guest properties was designed and synthesized. This novel macrocycle receptor can be enantioseparated into planar chiral enantiomers that bind R - and S -mandelate guests with an enantioselectivity factor of 2.47.
