- Abstract : In this work, the corrosion and wear behavior of Ti‐1Zr, Ti‐2Zr, and Ti‐16Zr alloys were investigated. Scanning electron microscopy with energy‐dispersive spectroscopy and X‐ray diffractometry were used to analyze the phase structure of the surface of alloys. The corrosion behavior of Ti‐Zr‐based alloys was investigated in Hank's solution at 37 °C with a conventional three‐electrode configuration. The Ti‐2Zr alloy exhibited highest corrosion potential and lowest corrosion current density compared with other alloys. Under wet friction, wear volume loss of Ti‐Zr alloy decreases with increasing Zr content. Abstract : The Ti‐2Zr alloy exhibited highest corrosion potential and lowest corrosion current density compared with other alloys,indicating that the Ti‐2Zr alloy possesses the highest corrosion resistance.
