- Abstract: For the difficulty in evaluating the flow stability of flow standard facility, a measuring method base on the relationship analysis of flow rate and pressure is presented. It can obtain the amplitude and frequency of flow fluctuation in a wide frequency range, and overcome the fluctuation amplitude distortion caused by the insufficient sampling frequency of the flowmeter. Compared with only one flowmeter been used in previous methods, the accuracy and reliability of the measurement result is improved. And, through the correlation coefficient of pressure and flow, this method can obtained the approximate location of the fluctuation source, which can provide important information for reducing or eliminating the effect of fluctuation. Finally, a special design flow fluctuation generator was designed and used in the experiment, and the results verified that the new method is correct and effective. Highlights: A measuring method is presented which can obtain the amplitude and frequency of flow fluctuation in a wide frequency range. Through the correlation analysis of pressure and flow, the presented method can obtained the approximate location of the fluctuation source. A flow fluctuation generator based on the swing of valve was designed and used.
