Abstract

Abstract : The image illustrates arterial fibrillation in the heart, with the characteristic irregular heartbeat, and the potential of imaging mass spectrometry to explore the differences in spatial proteomic levels in the myocardial tissue. This technique provides, in combination with histopathological assessment of interstitial fibrosis, an improved understanding of the pathogenesis and unsupervised discrimination of arterial fibrillation subtypes.
