Abstract

Purpose: To present a case of polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy secondary to sclerochoroidal calcification. Method: A single patient case report with multimodal imaging including color fundus, red free and autofluorescence photography, fluorescein and indocyanine green angiography, and optical coherence tomography. Results: Sclerochoroidal calcification was diagnosed clinically from bilateral retinal elevations and underlying subretinal yellow deposits. The presence of retinal hemorrhages was confirmed to be secondary to underlying polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy by optical coherence tomography and fundus angiography. Conclusion: Sclerochoroidal calcification may be complicated by polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy.
