- Abstract:
- Mexico is one of the most populated and contrasting countries in the Latin American region. There, the population distribution creates challenges and particular opportunities for an optimal sustainable integral management of the USW. The adopted current strategy is discussed up to the point that consists in privilege the use of landfills over any other way of final disposal, and the need of seeking alternatives based on the development of in house technologies that consider the social and economic conditions of the different regions and involve both the academic and professional Mexican society in its own development.
