- Fly Ash (FA), a waste product of thermal power stations, has great potential for use in agriculture, because it contains almost all macro as well as micronutrients. In view of the potential disposal problem of FA, this investigation was carried out to search an economical and eco-friendly solution of its disposal by using it as nutrient source in agriculture for growth of crop plants. FA application increased the number of leaves, plant height, biomass and yield of three crop plants (palak, mung bean and chilli) and recorded maximum in F25 treatment (25% FA-amended soil). Application of more than 25% results in decline in growth and yields of plants.
