- Abstract : Mucormycosis is uncommon in patients with chronic granulomatous disease (CGD). We report a 7-year-old boy with X-linked CGD and absent oxidative burst who developed fatal Lichtheimia ramosa infection with fungal thrombosis of the kidneys, spleen and other organs after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Lichtheimia infection is rarely reported in patients with CGD and could be related to iatrogenic immunosuppression.
