Abstract

Abstract : On the verge of the destruction of the Ecosystem, a cultural metamorphosis needs to begin in order to change this trend. At first, the symbolic codes that organize our daily life need to change, in addition to the political systems, forms of production, and consumer attitudes. The Earth should be considered not as a mere tool for the production of resources but as an object with which it is possible to have a positive relationship. It could be called a metamorphosis from necrophily to biophily: global and local attitudes need to be taken into consideration together. Homo oeconomicus must transform his behavior fundamentally and begin to consider himself as a citizen of the Earth.
