- The sheet metal moulding manufacturing companies, largely in the automotive sector, seek to reduce significantly the delivery times from the client's initial order to the production of a new model – these are reductions of up to 50% on the normal delivery time. This situation is obliging the industry to reduce the delivery times of stamping tools ordered, forcing the stamping technology to move outside its traditional limits and to take up the massive use of new design technology. This article shows how the introduction of new work methodologies based on the use of simulation tools for stamping processes can significantly reduce the development time of a product, from the initial phases of design to the delivery of the product to the client, with quality guaranteed.
