- Abstract : The back cover picture shows an engineered, highly stable amine transaminase that catalyses the enantioselective amination of ketones under process conditions, that is, high temperature and substrate concentration as well as solvent use. Through a semirational design, the two point mutations in the cofactor binding region (illustrated by the screws) prevent protein unfolding and cofactor loss (indicated by the chain) during catalysis.
