- This essay, invited by the Editor-in-Chief of IJBG, Professor Leo Dana, focuses on safety in movie theatres in France and Japan and the differences on how they are managed. Interviews were conducted with movie theatres' managers on both countries and our study demonstrates the fact that France is a market that is very concerned by state intervention and the interviews conducted in Japan helped managers become more aware of risks and measures required to guarantee the audience's safety in movie theatres.
